Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Greater Grace Santacruz- A family-oriented
Church with an emphasis on the Bible and preaching the Good News!
Greater Grace Santacruz is a non-denominational, Bible-believing church located in
the heart of the city of Mumbai. We believe that the Bible is the very foundation of our
life and that each of us has a special God-given purpose for why we are living on the earth.
Tracing the beginnings
It all began in a little bible study in the home of Dr. Swithin and Dr. Charmayne Miranda
in Vakola, Santacruz east. What started as a once-a-week meeting to understand the Bible
deeper, then grew into a church in July 2005.
Led initially by Pastor Suhas Valvi and now by Pastor Atul Haksar, GGF Santacruz church
has grown steadily through the years, while yet retaining the essence of what it always has
been– A family-like environment where people can come to understand the Bible better, and
be able to reach out to others with the love of Jesus Christ.
Join us at Greater Grace Santacruz for a joyful, uplifting Sunday evening service in both Hindi
and English, with praise & worship, bible study and fellowship times.
Our Pastor
Hailing from a Kashmiri family, Pastor Atul Haksar is the Pastor at Greater Grace Santacruz.
He completed his 4-year Bachelor of Theology from the Bombay Bible College & Seminary.
He was appointed Pastor in 2011 and in addition to pastoring the Santacruz
church, he teaches at the Bombay Bible College & Seminary.
With his tremendous sense of humour, love for the Word and a great heart for people, it’s no
surprise that he always has a word of encouragement both at the pulpit & away from
the pulpit. Pastor Atul along with his wife Deepa, and their daughters- Anika and Aliza, live in Kalina, Mumbai.
Our Mentor
Pastor Karl Silva is the Overseeing Pastor and presiding elder of Greater Grace fellowship, Mumbai.
He studied at the Maryland Bible College and Seminary (MBC&S) Baltimore U.S.A. and
returned to India to pastor the church in 1991.
From then until now, his focus has always been the Word of God, missions, and a desire to see
new churches in other parts of India and the South Asia.
In 2000, Pastor Karl Silva along with an able leadership Board of Trustees founded the Karuna Sharan
Boys Home and The Ambassador High School, Vasai, Thane District.
Pastor Karl, alonng with his wife Suzan, and their son Andrew live in Andheri, Mumbai.
Our Affiliation
Greater Grace Santacruz church is a part of Greater Grace Fellowship Mumbai (www.ggfmumbai.org) 
a non-denominational local church that is dedicated to helping people have a close relationship with God our Father and Jesus Christ.
Established in the city in 1984, the church has an array of ministries including children’s
Sunday school, youth ministry, music ministry and women’s ministry, among others.
The church has also been training Indian men and women in its Bombay Bible College and Seminary,
many of whom are now planting churches and leading Bible Studies in various parts of Mumbai, India
and Nepal. Greater Grace Fellowship also has Karuna Sharan Children’s Home with and the Ambassador
High School located in Vasai, Mumbai. Greater Grace Fellowship Mumbai is affiliated to Greater Grace
World Outreach, Baltimore, Maryland, USA (http://www.ggwo.org/).
Established in Baltimore in 1987, Greater Grace World Outreach is a Christian ministry that is Bible-based,
Christ-centered and serves as a home base for network of affiliate churches throughout the U.S. and in
over 60 countries worldwide.
The Maryland Bible College and Seminary offers a strong Biblical Studies curriculum with an emphasis
on leadership development and church-planting skills.
